Shadow Realms Guild
House Obphuscaria
House Obphuscaria awaits those who would dare to enter. The shadows are deep, and you will not find goodness here; only nightmares live on in this place of horror, where your own personal demons loom just out of sight. These dark shadows are cast by your every guilty thought and deed. Abandon all hope ye who enter here! You will encounter the ugly parts of yourself that you choose never to see. We all possess these traits within us be it freely or not. Destiny has decided which fate shall meet your stain at every turn!
House Obphuscaria – Shadow Realms Guild is a place where only the bravest of souls dare to enter. Here, the shadows and darkness form an impenetrable barrier, blocking out all goodness and hope. Nightmares come alive in this realm, as do your personal demons and guilty thoughts. It is said that by entering House Obphuscaria one abandons all hope, and must confront the ugly parts of oneself. Fate and destiny are no longer just concepts but rather tangible entities waiting to be explored. The dark shadows engulf you as you walk through its corridors, tempting you with your guilty deeds. Yet there is still something mesmerizing about House Obphuscaria – Shadow Realms Guild; an eerie curiosity that beckons you to explore its depths and discover what lies beyond…if you dare.

The Mirror of Truth
House Obphuscaria is a dark and foreboding place where nightmares reign supreme. This guild is for those who are brave enough to enter the shadows and face their personal demons. Here you will find the darkest parts of yourself lurking in the corners just out of sight. Be warned; this is not a place for the faint of heart! Only those who are willing to confront their innermost fears will be able to survive in House Obphuscaria.
The House of Obphuscaria is a Shadow Realms Guild known for being difficult to enter. It is said that those brave enough to venture inside will face their fears, but it is also warned that doing so may be at your own risk. The Mirror of Truth is where all who enter will eventually find themselves. It is a bleak and foggy place where the only thing that awaits you is your own fears. It is up to you to find the way out, but beware, as the path is not always easy to follow. Enter at your own risk, and be prepared for what awaits you inside. The House of Obphuscaria is not for the faint of heart. Are you brave enough to venture inside? Only time will tell.
The Shadowlands
The Shadow Realms Guild is seeking individuals who are willing to be tested and face their innermost evil. The guild is looking for those who are willing to break the universal laws in order to understand the evil within them. The guild is also looking for individuals who are skilled enough to avoid being found by Fetchers. The Fetchers are the Guardians of the Shadowlands and are similar to their equal at the Crossroads. If you are caught by a Fetcher, you will find yourself lost in the forests of the deadwood and the marshes of despair, you will wander.
Perhaps you found your way out of the fog, only to realize that you now stand before the endless sea-sands. Beware, there’s quicksand out there that will seek out souls that have given up. Perhaps you are one of them, are you? As you wander, you will notice, that you do not hear a sound, not of wind, not of water, of insects, or anything. You are in the stillness that has sent many mad. There is no echo or evidence of anything or anyone around. That is when you will see it, the Labyrinth of Bramblewood. If you are able to get to the center, you’ll be presented with two ways out, and both are genuinely unpleasant.
The Seduction
The House of Obphuscaria is a dangerous place to visit in the Shadow Realms, as it can easily lead to your downfall. The Seduction within the House lures visitors into giving in to their darker side, which can result in them becoming evil incarnate. If you can resist the temptation and make it through to the other side, you will be rewarded with newfound strength. However, if you give in to your evil twin, you will be trapped in the Shadowlands forever, and your Lawfully Evil twin will be free to take your place.
The purpose of the Shadowlands is the barrier between the world of good and evil. Many come to this place to face their fears, regardless of what guild or tribe they belong to. You can’t come here unless somebody else allows it. The voice you hear is the one thing that has been watching you this whole time, as you see the actual Shadowlands is alive.
You have been tested the minute you entered this place, on your own, via a dream, or in a sweat lodge, perhaps even from the bowels of Hell itself. Depending on the level of personal sorrow, pain and darkness become your wish, even though it is never verbalized, as your passions were upon your behalf. From there, the Shadowlands obliged.
Those who stayed true to their core beliefs could face their fears. All you seek will be revealed if you can successfully best your demons. You would come out of the experience stronger than when you first entered.
Let’s Make An Accord
There is another reason why adventurers seek out this place, to make a deal with the old gods and their demons that are under them. The Shadowlands is as close to the Void as you can without crossing the Shadowgate. By the by, only the dead can cross through a Shadowgate, so if you had any ideas to cross over yourself, well, it won’t bode well for you; this is why those seek out the Shadowlands.
Any deal made in the Shadowlands is binding and cannot be undone, so it’s important to be sure that you know what you’re getting into before making any agreements. Deals are to be made here. However, deals made with the old gods and their demons can have unforeseen consequences. However, those willing to risk it may be able to gain power, wealth, knowledge, or even immortality.
The Dotted Line
When you enter House Obphuscaria to make an accord with your demons, you’re making a deal with the devil. There is no escaping the consequences of your actions, and any promises made will be binding – even in death. Evil will get everything they want and more, so be sure you know what you’re signing up for before entering this dark realm. Beware that any pact you make will have far-reaching consequences.
The Shadow Realms Guild deals in dark magic. If you make a deal with them, you will get what you desire, but at a cost. A contract of your ink will be drawn up. From there, you get what your dark little heart desires. Evil will get all that they want and even more, as it is always in the fine print. For this, we are going to spell it out for you in the next section… The Fine Print!
The Fine Print
If you have a child, the child will be of an evil seed. No good will come from that child or the children that stem from this newly corrupted bloodline. Anyone around you will turn to your favor or find themselves taking a long underserved dirt nap. For part of the contract, anyone who is not with you is against you, and Evil will not stand idle with those who are against you.
You see, you are their vessel in the land of the living. You are their foothold; they want to spread their Evil. Remember, the core of Evil is an idea. You can’t stop an idea, just the messenger of that idea. All that is around you will slowly become corrupted. Your kingdom of light will turn into a land harboring assassins, thieves, and worse, demons. Yes, that’s right, you are now a living Shaodwgate for the lands of the dead, and they will have a legitimate doorway into the land of the living.
Your deal will eventually come across the House of the Holy Rollers, and a team will be dispatched to confirm. Once confirmed, you’ll have the Arbiters raising everything in their path. If you are not careful, your story will be told to the apprentices about what not to do.
Outside of that, everything that you created or were born into will be dust once the wheels of justice stop turning. Lastly, depending on how long you were able to live and carry forth Evil’s plans, right down to the fine print in the contract, will determine how you will be received into the void, either a hero to those you made a deal with or their chew toy for the lower forms that are still in the void.
