The Mages Guild

Welcome to the prestigious realm of the Mage Guild, a linchpin of magical legacy embedded deep within the annals of time. Governed by the enduring spirit of House Sdrathozth, this illustrious guild has not only witnessed the unfolding of countless ages but also profoundly influenced the narrative of magical history. But before you venture further, ask yourself: Do you possess the spark, the thirst for arcane knowledge, to become a member of this esteemed guild? If so, House Sdrathozth awaits.

House chronicle

Dive back to the dawn of the first age, and you’ll uncover the roots of House Sdrathozth. Akramar Sdrathozth, the beacon of bravery and innovation, heroically laid down his life to end the tumultuous war by sealing the Shadowgate. Such was his sacrifice and the magic tools he fashioned—tools that bridged to any magical item or artifact—that the mages of the second age deemed it fitting to name the guild after him. Yet, as with any entity wielding tremendous power, the guild had its detractors, those who deemed its existence either a threat or an opportunity. Still, the unwavering spirit of House Sdrathozth continued to thrive, and today, it stands as a beacon of wisdom and learning, reaching out to help those keen on unraveling the mysteries of magic.

Essentials of membership

To immerse oneself in the sacred knowledge the Mage Guild offers, certain criteria must be met:

Be a practitioner of spell-casting.

Demonstrate a genuine desire to delve deeper into the multifaceted world of magic.

Pledge allegiance to the Mage Guild’s revered values and principles.

Once inside, a world of privileges unfolds. The vaults of the Mage Guild grant access to an unparalleled library, an opportunity to be mentored by the most seasoned mages, and the chance to forge bonds with kindred spirits.

The integral houses

The Mage Guild, under the banner of House Sdrathozth, is a mosaic of specialized houses, each contributing uniquely to the magic realm:

Wizards: The vigilant custodians of magic’s flow and legacy, they weave in and out of the shadows, ensuring harmony across lands.

Necromancers: Stewards of the afterlife, their realm is the dead. Their wisdom also guards the precious scrolls and tomes of House Sdrathozth.

Sorcerers: Wielders of destructive spells, their might is revered and respected within the guild.

Alchemists & Apothecaries: Working under House Chla-Drothrow, they concoct potions and scrolls, becoming the backbone of many guild spells.

Shapers & Artificers: Allied with House Gravan-Myrwinia, they breathe life into magical items, amplifying the guild’s arsenal.

From mages with dubious intentions to unchecked magical beasts like dragons and banshees, threats from the arcane world are real and ever-looming. But rest assured, the dedicated Wizards and Necromancers of the Mage Guild tirelessly work to shield the world from these perils, tapping into the vast knowledge repository the guild has accumulated over eons.

Next magical era

The path to magic mastery demands dedication. Wizards, equipped with the comprehensive knowledge base of the guild, guide the newer generations. It’s a symbiotic relationship, a blend of learning and guidance, ensuring that the magical realms are always a step ahead of contemporary challenges.

Elevation to the Mage Guild is no ordinary feat. Prospective members must exhibit not just knowledge and skill, but an undying commitment to House Sdrathozth’s tenets. The guild, in return, bestows respect but also shoulders the weight of being occasionally feared.

Leadership at the helm

Every establishment requires a visionary leader, and for the Mage Guild, it’s the elected Mages-Guildmaster. Their sagacity ensures the smooth operation of the guild, touching every facet of its vast responsibilities.

So, as the annals of time continue to be written, and as magic continues to evolve, the Mage Guild stands sentinel, inviting those worthy to be part of this grand legacy. Do you see yourself among them? If so, House Sdrathozth beckons.
