Death Notice

The Cartographers Guild will never forget the deeds of one of the first recorded mappers Stager Hammerquay from the First Age. Stager Hammerquay was one of the founding members of the guild. During the great battle of the First Age war, her bravery and heroics also proved in the blood that this guild practices what they preach! The Navigators’ codes of conduct are unreproachable. Stager Hammerquary was the Dwarven navigator and cartographer that led the final assault through the Jagged Mountain Pass, which turned the war around. Stager made the final assault possible by holding the Mountain Door open. When Evil Fell, it landed on the mountain, collapsing all the tunnels. Stager was crushed at the mountain gate.

The day after the battle, the Dwarves found her body and gave her a hero’s burial. The Cartographers Guild will never forget the deeds of their fallen comrade and the role she played in the war. Some say that when the wind is fair and the trinity sun sets, you can still hear her yelling to get out to safety. This mountain pass has collapsed; however, some still make a pilgrimage to the site. The pass is now called “Stager’s Hammer.”

The Cartographers Guild honors her memory by continuing to explore the world and map its every corner. Many places are yet to be explored, and the guild always needs new blood to help with the constant task of mapping the world. So, if you find yourself with a love of adventure and a knack for directions, then this might be the guild.

Every member of the guild makes their way to this sacred space. Each mapper and navigator leaves quills and ink pots to pay their respects. The holiday of remembrances This holiday occurs when the trinity suns all converge to only appear as one sun in the sky. It is a day of remembrance for all those who have died in the line of duty for the guild. mappers and navigators from all over come to this spot to share stories of the fallen, songs are sung, and new members are inducted into the guild.

This is the day that Stager Hammerquay is remembered. A woman who gave her life so that others could live to see tomorrow. She is a hero to many, and will never be forgotten. The Cartographers Guild will never forget the deeds of one of the first recorded mappers Stager Hammer.

Survived By

Stager’s memory is survived by her son, Dur.

Dur Hammerquay, a Dwarf who has followed in the footsteps of his ancestor, Stager Hammerquay. Dur was born into a family of navigators and cartographers who have been part of the Cartographers Guild for generations. From a young age, Dur showed a natural talent for drawing maps and navigating through uncharted territories.

As he grew older, Dur learned about the heroic deeds of his ancestor, Stager Hammerquay, and was inspired to follow in her footsteps. He trained rigorously in the art of navigation and cartography, studying under the guild’s most experienced members. He became a master of map-making, able to create detailed and accurate maps of even the most treacherous terrain.

When the guild received word of an upcoming battle against a powerful enemy, Dur knew he had to be part of it. He joined the guild’s expeditionary force, determined to prove his worth and honor his ancestor’s memory.

During the battle, Dur demonstrated his bravery and leadership skills, earning the respect of his fellow guild members. He led his team through dangerous and uncharted territories, using his expert navigation skills to avoid traps and ambushes.

When the final assault was launched through the Jagged Mountain Pass, Dur was at the forefront, just like his ancestor had been in the past. He led the charge, fighting fiercely against the enemy and holding the Mountain Door open to allow his comrades to pass through. Dur’s heroics proved instrumental in turning the tide of the war.

Unfortunately, just like Stager, Dur was also caught in the collapsing tunnels of the mountain. Miraculously, he survived but suffered severe injuries that ended his career as a navigator and cartographer.

Despite his physical limitations, Dur continues to serve the Cartographers Guild, using his vast knowledge and experience to mentor young apprentices and train the next generation of navigators and cartographers. His name will forever be remembered among the guild’s most revered members, alongside his ancestor Stager Hammerquay, whose deeds will never be forgotten.
